QUORA Q? : Have people criticized Flipkart for its poor service and customer satisfaction and how did Flipkart respond to it? What was the resolution given?

I am sharing my positive experience with Flipkart as a buyer and negative with amazon
In January i had purchased 32 inch LED TV from amazon which I did not liked because of its voice quality compared to my old 26 inch old sony bravia. Its volume was low and not proper on some channels. I created a return request on amazon as i thought of buying another one from sony or LG or samsung. They told me that i will have to send it back to them at their warehouse and they will pay 100 Rs. courier charges to me. When i inquired it costs more then 5000 Rs to send the TV back here from Surat. So i had not returned it even i wished to.
10 Days back i had purchased Godrej Fully automatic machine from Flipkart. They delivered on time. After 20 days the washing machine started making high noise when drying. Also the washing machine was not cleaning upto the mark. So i had created a return request instead of replacement. They picked up from doorstep and did not charged anything. Got money credited in bank account very next day. And i have purchased whirlpool washing machine from flipkart and awaiting delivery.
But as a seller on flipkart i had one bad experience and so i did stopped selling on flipkart back in 2014 or early 2015. One of my customer ordered a saree listed by us in flipkart. She had smartly cut the blouse piece and had worn in an event. Then she had returned the saree back to us using flipkart’s 30 day return policy. When saree returned its blouse piece was seperated from saree and it had many wrinkles and also perfume smell was coming from it.

Quora Question : Will Flipkart's acquisition of Jabong help it beat Amazon in the Indian market?

Quora Answer : As per Alexa Ranking Amazon is No. 5 website in India and Flipkart No. 9 This shows amazon india is ahead atleast in terms of traffic on website. But since now flipkart also owns Myntra (Alexa rank 56 in India) and newly owned Jabong (Alexa rank 38) the total traffic on Flipkart should be higher and revenue in Fashion segment as well i guess and believe. So the deadly three combination Flipkart + Myntra + Jabong might have already made it leader but Amazon is a very strong contender and only time will reveal what it has in its pocket.
Also there can always two three big players in the market in today’s date as monopoly is hard to achieve and infact there are many new market places joining competition everyday.

Memories with Yahoo

Once Yahoo Defined Internet. As if yahoo is internet and internet is yahoo.
Yahoo is still one of my favourite website to check latest updates though relevant content related to national importance is getting less highlighted and its turning all about 15 rare pics, 11 habits, 10 foods and so on and celebrity gossips and less news in the slide banners . Also i visit yahoo to check if internet connectivity is there or not...!! And it's being sold out after several attempts to bring in profit is disappointing but i hope Verizon will take it to the new heights and it will not fade away.

When Internet was new to me and to the world Yahoo was the site i used most. It may be yahoo India page for reading news and updates or checking yahoo emails or the big one yahoo messenger. Yahoo messenger was such a craze at that time and i was not left out. In a world with no Facebook, Whatsapp - Yahoo Messenger rocked it. I had most of my friends on the yahoo messenger list and they are still today but no one is seen online and that includes me. I think i last used yahoo messenger over 2-3 years ago. I still receive a lot of emails on my yahoo id but they are only junks as like most of us i have shifted to Gmail but i still use yahoo id on some websites that i fear might spam me and i am ok if they do on my yahoo id.

I had made a lot of good friends on yahoo messenger that lived across the globe and all are almost lost and no more in contact apart from one or two whom i had added on Facebook. I used it for fun and sometimes even for my MBA entrance studies discussing global issues.

Yahoo is still alive as a brand in the billions of people who are are of my generation (I am 28) and older. and it has good potential if utilized properly and can bring good revenues. Yahoo still have a huge database though that is getting less useful each day as most have shifted to gmail.

I wish Verizon puts a lot of efforts and makes revenues and the brand "Yahoo" does not fade away.

Best wishes.
